Preview v0.1.0

An early-access, unsigned preview of vionim for technical testers. This release uses the internal-alpha channel and includes the new app name and icon.

Meet vionim

Local AI Video Editor is now vionim. The download installs vionim.app with a new Dock icon. Existing project and settings locations are preserved for compatibility with the earlier preview.

In this preview

• Local media import, preview, timeline editing, and MP4 export.
• Plain-English AI editing with Claude, Kimi, or OpenAI using your own API key.
• Reversible project revisions and local transcription with an optional model download.

Requirements and installation

Apple silicon Mac, macOS 12 or later. Unzip the download and move the app to Applications. Configure your provider key and install the transcription model from Settings. AI provider usage is billed separately by your provider.

Known limitations

• This app is not signed or notarized by Apple. macOS may block opening it. A signed release is pending.
• Automatic updates, Intel Mac installers, Windows installers, and Linux installers are not included.
• The app is under active development. Keep backups and use copies of important projects.
• Generated-code render network isolation is still listed as requiring hardening in the release checklist.
• AI editing results and latency depend on your provider, model, credit, and request.

Data handling

Original media stays on your Mac. Prompts and relevant project context, which can include transcripts and derived inspection images, are sent to your chosen AI provider. Transcription and media processing run locally.
